RODALE AQUATIC CENTER FOR CIVIC HEALTH ANNOUNCES REGISTRATION AND COURSE DATES FOR ADVANCED PADI SCUBA COURSE

Allentown, PA (July 14, 2005) – The Rodale Aquatic Center for Civic Health at Cedar Crest College has announced registration and course dates for a PADI Advanced Open Water Course. The PADI Advanced Open Water course will give the diver five additional dives under instructor supervision and will introduce the diver into five specialty areas including Underwater Navigation, Search and Recovery, Night Dives, Deep Dives and Wreck or Computer Assisted Multi Level Dives.

The course begins with a registration session where divers will receive manuals and chapter assignments to prepare them for the five dives on the weekend. Logistics for the open water diving weekend will also be discussed. Divers will need all open water equipment used for open water diving (rental equipment available at Wrecks & Reef Dive Store). A small diver’s knife and backup dive light are also required for the course. All other supplies are provided.

James Karapelou, PADI Master Instructor will conduct the classes. Prerequisite: PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent certification from any other certifying agency Registration: Monday July 25th, 7:00 pm at the Rodale Aquatic Center Diving: July 30th and 31st at Dutch Springs,Bethlehem, PA. Cost: $195.00 for the course, manual and certification.
