Allentown, PA (May 19, 2006) – Three of the five living members of Cedar Crest College's Class of 1931 and the last living member of the Class of 1928 will return to their alma mater this weekend to celebrate their time at the College during its annual reunion weekend. These special ladies will take part in a reunion luncheon on Saturday, May 20, 2006 from 12:15 – 1:30 p.m. in the Tompkins College Center dining hall.

According to Susan Cox, executive director of alumnae affairs, the Class of 1931 has been very active over the years since they graduated. "They tried to remain close by writing to each other throughout the year," says Cox. "To have three of the five remaining graduates back together for their 75th reunion is very special."

The three ladies attending this year's reunion are Emilie Aschbach Anderson of York, PA, Gertude Moll Helms of Bethlehem and Marion Fritch Clewel of Allentown, who will turn 96 in June.

For Nancy Diehl Elliston '66, this year marks her 40th reunion at Cedar Crest. What makes it even more special is that she will be accompanied by her mother, Florence Kauffman Diehl, Class of 1928, who at 102 years of age is the fourth oldest living alumna of the College. The pair will travel from North Bradford, CT to be here.

Cox has a particularly fond memory of Florence who, she says, literally "did a jig" in President Blaney's office three years ago for her 75th reunion. "We are so thrilled to welcome these amazing women back to Cedar Crest and give them a chance to catch up in person and relive some of the great memories of their college years."
