Children’s book illustrator returns to Cedar Crest College to discuss her career

Allentown, PA (November 17, 2008)—Popular children’s book illustrator Jane Dyer will discuss her career path during a free program at Cedar Crest College on Thursday, December 4, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in room 1867 of the Tompkins College Center.  Dyer, a 1971 graduate of Cedar Crest, is illustrator of the New York Times Bestselling children’s book, Christmas Cookies: Bite-Size Life Lessons by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, Hurry! Hurry! Have You Heard by Laura Krauss Melmed, and many other popular children’s tales. In addition to illustrating, Dyer’s writing credits include the “Little Brown Bear” and “Animal Crackers” series.

The official program, which is sponsored by the campus’ art department with support from the Cedar Crest College Cultural Arts Program, will be preceded by a book signing at 3:30 p.m. For information call 610-606-4668, ext. 3347.
