The seminar investigates the value of continuity and the need for differentiation and change. In addition to theory and cases, the seminar will draw upon books, articles, current advertising, innovative products/packaging and employ individual and group exercises. The students will use seminar insights to solve an issue regarding creativity and innovation of particular interest to them.

MGT 162 90 2 - Women in Leadership: The Seven Transformations of Leadership

A seminar designed to examine the Seven Transformations of Leadership and our own “action logic.” That is, how a leader interprets the surroundings and reacts when her or his power or safety is challenged. Seven distinct “action logic” categories will be discussed: Opportunists, Diplomats, Experts, Achievers, Individualists, Strategists, and Alchemists and each will be analyzed for performance. The seminar will also examine the four primary components of learning and achieving, IQ, EQ, PQ and SQ and its value in leadership. In this seminar, students will examine how to move from individual contributor to a leader.
