A student is eligible to participate in housing selection if she meets the following conditions:
- Has a financially clear student account
- Has completed the registration for 12 or more credits for the upcoming semester
- Has completed the Housing Application available on MyCedarCrest under the Student Affairs tab in the Residence Life folder
Lottery and Room Selection
Each student eligible for room selection will be placed in a lottery. The results of the lottery will be posted in each residence hall.
Room selection will take place in the TCC Dining Hall. On selection day, when your number is called, you will have the opportunity to select where you would like to live and with whom. You will be receiving more details about room selection day as the date approaches. You should not miss class to participate in room selection. If you must miss selection, you should fill out a proxy form available at the Allen House and send someone in your place.
During the lottery, you may sign up to live with a roommate of your choice. If you have no one in mind, you may be placed with someone who also does not have a roommate. During the summer, new students are assigned to the residence halls, so if you leave the semester without a roommate, you will likely get one over the summer.
