SGA Senate

Eva Barrett

"My name is Eva Barrett. I am the Vice President for the Class of 2016. My intended double major is Art and Early Childhood Education. I am part of the Education Club and Art Society here at Cedar Crest. I like to keep myself busy and my favorite thing is working hard at something that I find meaningful. I’d like to use that interest through student government to be a voice for my class and help anybody I can in the Class of 2016 and the Cedar Crest College community as a whole. If I have downtime I collage, listen to music, and spend time with my friends and family. During the Summer I volunteer at the Red Cross."

I became involved in student government because I wanted to be a more active member of the college community and be able to have an impact on campus. This is my first year as an SGA senator but last year I was vice president for the class of 2015. In high school I was an officer for the band and marching band for three years and was also a member of the National Honor Society. My campus e-mail is seboonie@cedarcrest.edu."

Diana Rosita Duarte

"My name is Diana Rosita Duarte. I am from the Bronx, NY. I am in the class of 2014 and I am pursuing nursing with a minor in nutrition. I am a member of the following clubs: Radio, Alpha Phi Omega, LLC Earth, Alana, and Cheerleading. Last year I became a senator and the experience was very exciting. Since joining SGA, I have learned to take on more responsibility and manage my time more efficiently. I am proud to be a senator because I can make a difference for my peers and my campus. My interest is to make this college great, with new and fresh ideas to bond the student body through activities. I look forward to another semester where I can continue to make our college a better place. "

April Conway

"My name is April Conway. I am from Highland Lakes, NJ and I am a senior double major in Media Studies and Biology. I love being outdoors, being creative, being with friends, and having a good time. I also like to talk to everyone, and listen to them even more, which is why I decided to run for a senator position. Being a senator allows me to bring in concerns and suggestions voiced by students here at Cedar Crest. I want to represent any student that has a question, suggestion, or concern in SGA. "

Gerlie Loyla

"My name is Gerlie Loyola, class of 2016. I am from Manorville, New York. I am intending to double major in Communications and Psychology. I joined Student Government to get involved on campus. SGA has made me realize that if we strongly believe in change, we have to fight to get it. Together, we can make change happen. In High School, I was the VP of the Green Team and Student Government. I was also the treasurer for my class. I am currently a Student Ambassador, play lacrosse, and participate in the Psychology Club, Chicktime, and theatre."
