Glorianna Bowser

Glorianna Bowser is a senior Chemistry major with a concentration in Forensic Science. This is her first year as an active member of Student Government and she is looking forward to expressing her and her peers’ concerns on some of the important issues on campus. Glorianna is also involved in Chemistry Club and Forensic Science Student Organization and acts as the President for both organizations. Through her involvement, she has gained many important leadership qualities, including public speaking and active communication.

2013 Senators

Steph Carroll

A junior double major in Social Work and Psychology (along with a certificate in Child Welfare), Steph Carroll is one busy students. Besides being a Senator for the Class of 2013, she is the Vice President of Social Work Club, Treasurer of both the Student Activities Board and Outthere, and still has time to play trombone in the instrumental ensemble. Steph joined SGA because she wanted to have a say in matters on campus and being a senator makes her feel like she is making positive changes on campus in order for Cedar Crest to reach its true potential. Steph also feels that being a senator has benefited her greatly as well as it has enlightened her college experience.

Sarah Haas

Sarah Haas is from Shillington, PA and is a junior Chemistry major with a Mathematics minor. Although she is interested primarily in science, you will most likely find her browsing fashion blogs or drawing clothing sketches in her spare time. Sarah’s passion also extends itself to Student Government as she has been representing the Class of 2013 as a Senator since Spring 2010. She loves that she gets the opportunity to express concerns and suggestions that ultimately create positive changes here at Cedar Crest. Have an issue? Sarah is always happy to listen to anyone's concerns or comments about anything going on at CCC. She’s happy to bring those concerns to the SGA meetings.

Caitlin Moran

Catlin Moran is a junior Nutrition major with a minor in Exercise Science from Asbury, NJ. This is her second year as a senator on Student Government. Caitlin decided to represent the Class of 2013 because “I feel that I can be your voice, and make sure that your opinions, concerns, and questions can be heard in the senate.” She is also an avid tennis player, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Taylor Murphy

Taylor Murphy is an Accounting major from Woodbury, NJ. She decided to become a Senator for the Class of 2013 so she could actively influence change on campus. Though this is her first time on Student Government, Taylor has had several leadership experiences, including the Leadership Training Program at Johnsonburg Presbyterian Center and a leadership course on offered at Cedar Crest. Both of these experiences have taught her different ways to not only be a better leader, but also a better teammate and peer.

Sarah Pilkington

Sarah Pilkington is a junior Communications major from Havertown, PA and this is her first year as a Student Government Senator. She is also involved in Theatre, the Student Activities Board and the Overnight Hostess Program. Sarah knew she wanted to join Student Government as it was a great opportunity to grow as a leader while making an impact. She loves being involved on campus and being a Senator is the perfect way to get involved and get to know her classmates from the Class of 2013. No matter how busy she is, Sarah always makes the time to listen to any concerns or suggestions and will make sure they get addressed at Senate meetings.

Scokna 'Momie' Cisse

Sockna Momie Cisse is one busy student. She is a double major in Social Work and Global Studies. Coming from New York City, New York, she has been one to be fully concerned with people's needs. She has a passion for taking care of others and often puts her own wants and needs aside for the greater good. Her reason for joining Student Government was so she could help all perspectives be represented in order for no issues to be overlooked. Sockna learned about this issue firsthand as a member of her high school’s student government and knows the importance of hard work and dedication. As a Senator for the Class of 2014, Sockna plans to focus on the issues that need to be addressed by reaching out to all her constituents. She promises to make each of their issues her own. .

Joellyn Colangelo

Joellyn Colangelo is from Morris Plains, New Jersey, and is currently a sophomore Biodiversity and Conservation Biology major. Joellyn joined Student Government as it presented an opportunity to learn new leadership skills while helping the class of 2014. Joellyn has many of her own leadership skills already: she is a member of the Cross Country team and realizes the importance of active participation and teamwork. Though this is her first time on a student council, she is excited to help out at the various SGA events while helping her class reach their goals this year.

Shamali Truong

Shamali Truong is a sophomore Nursing major from Philadelphia, PA. This is her first year as a Senator for the Class of 2014 and though she thinks it’s rather cliché, she really does want to make a difference at Cedar Crest while leaving behind her own legacy. Shamali is excited to step outside of her shell from freshman year and to get involved at CCC.

2015 Senators

Sabrina Pilotti

As a freshman majoring in History at Cedar Crest College, Sabrina Pilotti hit the ground running at Cedar Crest. She already has starred in a theater performance and is actively involved in several organizations on campus. Having grown up in Historic Newtown, PA, Sabrina has a strong interest in our nation’s history and diversity of cultures. This interest helped her gain leadership experience as representative for the Council Rock High School-North Diversity Council. She chose to become a Senator for the Class of 2015 as she recognizes the importance of students, faculty, and staff coming together for one united cause, to make Cedar Crest College the absolute best that it can be. She plans to openly and honestly bring the issues and concerns of her constituents to light and has vast experience in human relations.
