TRUSTEE SCHOLARSHIP

CRITERIA: Winner of the December Scholarship Competition Day
For First Year Students
RENEWAL: Must maintain 3.0 cumulative annual GPA and complete 2 annual Leadership Opportunities on campus
PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP
VALUE: $60,000 ($15,000 a year for four years)
CRITERIA: For First Year students who have minimum highest combined SAT (Math/Critical Reading only) of 1200 who also demonstrate record of outstanding high school achievement and participation in high school leadership activities
RENEWAL: Must maintain 3.0 cumulative annual GPA and complete 1 annual Leadership Opportunity on campus
INCREASE: Recipients may be eligible to compete in Scholarship Competition Day in December with potential to increase award. More information coming soon.
DEAN’S SCHOLARSHIP
VALUE: $42,000 - $54,000 (Range $10,500-$13,500 a year for four years)
CRITERIA: For First Year students who have a record of outstanding high school achievement and participation in high school leadership activities and highest combined SAT (Math/Critical Reading only) of: $10,500 for SAT 1050-1099, $12,000 for SAT 1100-1149, $13,500 for SAT 1150-1199
RENEWAL: Must maintain 3.00 cumulative annual GPA and complete 1 annual Leadership Opportunity on campus
INCREASE: Recipients may be eligible to compete in Scholarship Competition Day in December with potential to increase award. More information coming soon.
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY AWARD
VALUE: $30,000 ($7,500 a year for four years)
CRITERIA: Record of outstanding high school achievement and participation in high school leadership activities and highest combined SAT (Math/Critical Reading only) of SAT 1000-1049
RENEWAL: Must maintain 2.50 cumulative annual GPA and complete the Leadership Success Program requirements for each year they receive the grant
ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTAL SCHOLARSHIPS
VALUE: $6,000 ($1,500 a year for four years)
CRITERIA: Competitions for Departmental Scholarships (Art, Dance, Communications, Theater, English and Marketing) are held during the spring, prior to your enrollment for fall
RENEWAL: Must complete 2 courses within the discipline and meet other department requirements
ALLEN SCHOLARSHIP FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE
VALUE: $4,000 - $20,000 (Range $1,000-$5,000 a year for four years)
CRITERIA: For First Year students with a record of outstanding volunteer community service in high school (100 hours minimum beyond any high school "mandatory" hours) - examples of eligible service organizations include Habitat for Humanity, food pantry, homeless shelter, or working with disadvantaged children
RENEWAL: Must complete a minimum of 100 hours of community service to be approved by the CCC Community Service Coordinator
HIGH SCHOOL DISTINCTION AWARD
VALUE: $4,000 - $20,000 (Range $1,000-$5,000 a year for four years)
CRITERIA: For First Year students who participated in Girl Scout Gold, Hugh O'Brien Youth Scholarship, Governor's School of Excellence, PA Outstanding Young Woman's Organization, National Honor Society, Student Government officer, or other high school or community leadership organizations. Students who earn the Presidential or Dean's Scholarship are not eligible to recieve the High School Disctinction Award.
RENEWAL: Must complete 1 annual Leadership Opportunity on campus
LATINA LEADERSHIP PARTNER SCHOLARSHIP
VALUE: $20,000 ($5,000 a year for four years)
CRITERIA: For First Year or Transfer Lehigh Valley Latina students in partnership with the Latino Leadership Alliance of the Lehigh Valley – award based on demonstrated record of academic excellence and leadership. Deadline to apply is February 15
RENEWAL: Must remain in good academic standing
HERITAGE AWARD
VALUE: $8,000 ($2,000 a year for up to four years)
CRITERIA: Parent or grandparent is a graduate of a Cedar Crest College degree program
RENEWAL: Must remain in good academic standing
SIBLING AWARD
VALUE: $8,000 ($2,000 a year for up to four years)
CRITERIA: Traditional full-time sibling concurrently enrolled during the regular academic year (Fall/Spring)
RENEWAL: Must remain in good academic standing
TRANSFER STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
VALUE: $4,000 per year
CRITERIA:
1) Transferring to Cedar Crest after the completion of one semester from another college or university, top 20% of high school class and scored a combined 1150 or higher on Verbal/Critical Reading and Math SAT OR
2) Have attained a 3.00 or higher cumulative GPA after completing at least 24 credits at another institution before transferring to Cedar Crest
RENEWAL: Must maintain 3.00 cumulative annual GPA
PHI THETA KAPPA SCHOLARSHIP
VALUE: $4,000 per year
CRITERIA: Members of Phi Theta Kappa (honor society for two-year colleges) – must have 3.50 GPA and have completed 24 transferable credit hours with plan to enroll as traditional full-time student at Cedar Crest – must enroll at Cedar Crest immediately following the two-year college
RENEWAL: Renewable for 2 years, must maintain 3.00 cumulative annual GPA
