Learn the Psychology Behind Society’s Most Heinous Act

The Cedar Crest College chapter of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, will host a lecture by noted author and speaker Katherine Ramsland, Ph.D., titled, “The Mind of a Murderer,” on Thursday, October 25, from 5-6 p.m. in the 1867 Room of the Tompkins College Center. During her presentation, Ramsland will discuss criminal profiling and forensic psychology, and explain what goes on inside the mind of a murderer.

Ramsland has made guest appearances on The Today Show, as well as on programs on The History Channel, A&E, and The Learning Channel. She has also written more than 40 books and 1,000 articles focusing mainly on the genres of crime and forensic science, and teaches forensic psychology at DeSales University. She has a master’s degree in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Rutgers.
