Help ‘One of Our Own’ in Need of Bone Marrow Donor
Jose “Angel” Mojica, 14-year old son of Cedar Crest nursing student Brenda Sanchez and Jose Mojica, recently suffered a relapse of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and the family seeks the help of the Cedar Crest College community in trying to find a bone marrow donor to help Angel tackle the disease.
In an effort to find a match, the Red Cross is holding a bone marrow drive this Wednesday, July 20, from 12-4 p.m. and from 8-11 p.m. at Samuel Adams, 7880 Penn Drive, in Breinigsville (off Route 100, next to the Nestle building). The test requires a simple cheek swab, after which your information will be entered into a national database of potential blood marrow donors.
For information or to pre-register, call the nursing office at 610-606-4606. You can also click here to read more about Angel’s situation.
