Student DanceWorks: Featuring Student Choreography: December 1-3

Cedar Crest Performing Arts presents, Student DanceWorks on Dec. 1, 2 and 3 at 8 p.m. Performances will be held in the Samuels Theatre of Tompkins College Center. Student DanceWorks is directed by Michelle Munno Jacobs, an assistant professor of dance at Cedar Crest College.

“This year’s SDW concert once again delivers the great diversity that CCC’s dance program is known for,” said Munno Jacobs. “The show opens with the Violet Hour, choreographed by senior dance student Hannah Walters, and is inspired by her relationship with her brother who is a United States Army soldier. Other dance pieces have varied themes such as baseball, daylight and the femme fatale.”

The student choreographers for Student DanceWorks are Roxanne Addino, Chelsea Buffaloe, Marlana Hurd, Brenna Mateljan, Natalie Shute, Nicole Shute, Amanda Jean Laigle Sickau, Margaret Vaccaro, Hannah Walters, and Carly Wolfe. Lighting design is by Cedar Crest College students Jessica Moody, Colleen Shea and Cedar Crest College Professor Roxanne Amico.
