Lynn Evans, CEO, to address
143rd Commencement

The President and Chief Executive Officer of Northeastern Financial Consultants, Inc., Lynn Evans, will deliver the commencement address to more than 400 bachelor’s and master’s degree recipients during Cedar Crest College’s 143rd Commencement on Saturday, May 11, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Cedar Crest College quad.

“It is a privilege to have Lynn Evans, one of our accomplished alumnae, address our 2013 graduates,” said President Carmen Twillie Ambar, who will confer the baccalaureate and graduate degrees. “Her devotion to the advancement of women is at the core of Cedar Crest’s mission of educating the next generation of leaders, and I believe our graduates can learn a lot from her example.”

Lynn S. Evans ‘73 is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Northeastern Financial Consultants, Inc. and the co-host of “Live with Laurie and Lynn” a Saturday morning radio show that features the success stories of women in northeast Pennsylvania.

“I am honored to be able to give the graduates the benefit of my experience in having a liberal arts degree and using it to create a whole new career,” Evans said on her address this Saturday.

Evans founded Northeastern Financial Consultants, Inc. over 30 years ago and has had great success in her customer centric business model that focuses on understanding the hopes and dreams of her clients, while ensuring their long term financial stability.
 
With a passion for educating and community, Evans authored a monthly personal finance column for the Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal from 2001 - 2010 and is a contributing writer to Garden State Women, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women in New Jersey. Her expertise in the subject has also made her a sought after public speaker on topics ranging from helping women create wealth, to, how to live a prosperous and happy retirement.

She holds leadership positions in a variety of civic organizations including the Women’s Resource Center of Scranton, which she co-founded. She’s also involved with Maternal and Family Health Services, Cedar Crest College's Alumnae Association, the President’s Advisory Board at Keystone College, Electric City TV, Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Pocono Mountains Chamber of Commerce.
 
Evans earned her B.A. in French and Secondary Education from Cedar Crest College in 1973. She’s held the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) mark of distinction for more than 25 years.
 
Evans and her husband, Patrick A. di Napoli, enjoy spending time with their son, Tyler, and boating on Lake Wallenpaupack in the Pocono Mountains.
