Leadership: Sarah was born and raised to be entrepreneur. Her mom and dad have owned and operated their own custom picture-framing and construction businesses, respectively. Her mantra is, "I'll make it work." Cedar Crest is giving her the skills and leadership training to ensure she does just that.

Her Take: "Cedar Crest has helped me understand what the essentials are for me to run my own business successfully. My business courses are very interesting. Right now, I'm taking P.R., team-building, and industrial psychology - so I'm learning how to work with people and how to get my message out to the public. I can make (jewelry) and I can sell it and that's what Cedar Crest has done for me."

Sarah also "pays it forward" as an assistant in Art Professor Nelson Maniscalco's classes, where she helps less experience students master various techniques, and offers them support.

Favorite Quote: "Till this moment, I never knew myself," from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

Her Take:"Jane Austen novels are about women finding themselves and discovering new things about others and the world around them. These moments hit you unexpectedly since there are so many events and people that you can learn from, and it is recognizing these things in my own life and learning the lessons that is important to me."

“Sarah 360”: Sarah is one of many students at Cedar Crest who have a dual-major - in this case, art and business administration. She's an artist and an entrepreneur who sells jewelry online, in her mother's framing shop and at craft shows.

Her Take:"I thought I could take my hobby and my passion and make it into a career. (Cedar Crest) offered both of my majors - business and art - and allowed me to integrate both of them to reach my ultimate goal, which is having a jewelry business."
