The staff in the Office of Student Activities (OSA) collaborates with students to implement a weekend activities initiative called, Weekendpalooza. Run by student volunteers, this initiative is the hub of the student activities programming sponsored by the Office of Student Activities. Students advise the OSA staff on the type of programming that students want to attend on weekends.
During 2012-2013 a number of programmatic categories recommended by students were introduced for them to plan social activities within: Pamper Nights, Restaurant Night Out, Game Nights, Coffee Houses, Theme Parties, Poetry Slams, Movie Nights and Special Events. Some of the event highlights held this year included, the Roommate Game, X-Box Challenge, Murder Mystery Dinner, Handwriting Analysis, an outing to Red Robin Restaurant, and Soofy and the Walrus Band for Coffee House. In addition, students participated in shuttle trips that took them to the Lehigh Valley Mall, Target, Walmart and The Promenade Shops and Movie Theater.
Plans for 2013-2014 are underway and events for this academic year include: Shuttle Trips to popular shopping outlets in the region, Karaoke Nights, Pamper Nights, Minute to Win It and more. Students who want to help us create part of the social life for the campus, should contact the office by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with their interest.
