Adjunct Faculty

Nursing Faculty Positions

Cedar Crest College is experiencing growth and adding new programs in our nationally recognized nursing department!  With growth comes opportunity!  The College is currently accepting applications for full-time, 9 month undergraduate and graduate faculty positions in the Nursing Department to begin August 2017. ASSOCIATE PROVOST

Cedar Crest College is seeking an Associate Provost to provide leadership and oversight for the assessment of student learning and college services, including the coordination of annual assessments and Periodic Program Review for academic departments and offices of student support and college administration. While monitoring compliance with regional accreditation standards and federal and state regulations, the Associate Provost serves as the Accreditation Liaison Officer, co-chairs the Assessment Committee and the Compliance Committee, and oversees the Office of Assessment and Institutional Research. The Associate Provost conducts ad hoc strategic analyses, college-wide initiatives, and other duties of the Office of the Provost as needed.

The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate or equivalent terminal degree, and have a minimum of five years’ experience in leadership of academic programs, including curricular design, co-curricular experiences, faculty development and assessment of student outcomes.     Qualified candidates must have knowledge of higher education policy and practice and demonstrated ability to plan strategically in dynamic, diverse and mission-driven college environment.    Exceptional interpersonal and team building skills along with a proven capacity for working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment are also necessary for success.

Admissions Assistant/Receptionist

Cedar Crest College is seeking an organized, customer-focused Assistant to handle internal and external communications for our active traditional admissions office and to serve as the receptionist for visitors and guests.  The Assistant arranges individual campus tours, sets up appointments with campus constituents, communicates with admissions counselors and others on campus regarding visits and assures a positive experience to visitors to campus and to those who inquire about the College.  The Assistant also provides direction to student ambassadors, maintains the departmental calendar and provides support to student affairs.

A Bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.  Minimum of two years’ experience working in customer service, preferably in higher education. Dietetic Internship Supervised Practice Coordinator
Nutrition
Full time, 12 month position

Cedar Crest College is accepting applications for a Dietetic Internship Supervised Practice Coordinator to assist the Internship Director in all aspects of the supervised practice component of the Dietetic Internship (DI) program and serve as the primary contact for all aspects of the Distance Dietetic Internship Program.  The Coordinator also assists in the management and supervision of distance and onsite supervised practice sites, including providing training and support for preceptors and students, performing distance practice evaluations, and providing feedback of supervised practice to interns.  In addition, the Coordinator serves as the didactic teaching assistant and assists the DI Director in recruiting interns for the program. 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field of study (Master’s preferred), be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and have a minimum of three (3) years dietetic practice experience as an RD.   Ongoing maintenance of all professional credentials is required for the position.  Candidates should have demonstrated experience with dietetic management and have served as a dietetic internship preceptor or worked with an ACEND accredited program.  Exceptional interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and strong attention to detail with effective organizational and time management skills are necessary for success!  Proficiency with computer based applications and systems, required.   Must be able to use and communicate effectively to interns through available technology and in online learning platform.

Office Coordinator
School of Adult and Graduate Education (SAGE)

Cedar Crest College is seeking a detail-oriented, energetic, customer-focused Office Coordinator to provide operational organization to our busy SAGE Admissions office.  The Coordinator handles the day-to-day communication for the office, including processing inquiries, preparing, producing and distributing informational materials, and scheduling appointments and assisting visitors with inquiries. The Coordinator also coordinates events for the SAGE office, including scheduling, planning, promoting, responding to inquiries and tracking attendees. In addition, the Coordinator works collaboratively with others on campus to achieve departmental goals and enrollment.

Assistant Director of Career Development

Cedar Crest College has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, dynamic and innovative leader to serve as the Assistant Director of Career Development.   The Assistant Director will provide career programming and direct services to students and alumnae to enhance their personal, academic and career development. Assistant Director of Learning and Disability Services

Cedar Crest College is seeking an Assistant Director of Learning and Disability Services to serve as the College’s disability specialist who is responsible for coordinating the delivery of accommodations and support services to students with a wide range of disabilities. In this capacity, the Assistant Director of Learning and Disability Services reviews student documentation to assess eligibility for accommodations to determine what accommodations are appropriate.  The Assistant Director works with students, families, instructors, staff, and off-campus providers to provide both initial assessment and ongoing monitoring of individual students’ accommodation requirements. The Assistant Director collaborates with faculty and staff to facilitate student success, provides training and professional development programs for the campus community, oversees the use and implementation of assistive technologies and other strategies to maintain an accessible learning environment, and assists students in developing self-advocacy skills and adapting to the demands of college life.

This position also provides leadership and guidance for Academic Services’ learning support resources and programs. The Assistant Director supervises the staff responsible for providing tutoring services, manages the on-going development and assessment of learning programs and resources, and contributes to the overall success of Academic Services by promoting coordination between the office’s programs and services.

Manager of Grant and Foundations

Cedar Crest College offers an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned professional to develop and grow the College’s funding through grants.  The Manager of Grants and Foundations is responsible for researching, identifying, developing, writing and submitting grant proposals to government, corporate foundations, and private funding prospects. The Manager is expected to work collaboratively to secure funding to advance the mission of the College and in support of the strategic plan and initiatives on campus. 

The successful candidate will have excellent writing and editing skills, in addition to exceptional presentation, communication, team building and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines. 

A Bachelor’s degree and at least five years’ experience of demonstrated success in grant writing and management as well as a proven track record of securing funding from foundation and government sources are all required.  Extensive knowledge of research methods and grant administration for federal and state requirements and application of evidence based practices for proposals is strongly preferred, as well as proven success with collecting, identifying, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data necessary for grant writing and reporting.  Familiarity with financial budgeting and analysis related to grant management, development of work plan models, and applicable systems and databases is also preferred. Availability and willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends is required.

International Student Adviser

Cedar Crest College is seeking an International Student Adviser to ensure international students are in compliance with all relevant legal regulations and campus policies.  The Adviser will serve as the DSO for the College, maintain SEVIS records for current and former students and will help students access all appropriate immigration benefits.   The Adviser will work collaboratively with members of the Academic Services and the campus community to support international students during their transition to Cedar Crest and throughout their education.

Director of Adult and Graduate Admissions

Cedar Crest College is seeking a dynamic, experienced Director of Adult and Graduate Admissions who will be responsible for directing the activities of the School of Adult and Graduate Education (SAGE) admissions office, including planning supervising, and assessing all aspects of the admissions and recruitment for graduate and undergraduate programs. CAMPUS POLICE
Two Full Time Positions

Cedar Crest College has two excellent opportunities for experienced law enforcement professionals to join our campus police team!  The College’s commissioned officers provide for the safety and welfare of the entire campus community, including our residential housing, on a 24 hour basis, 7 days a week.  Basic duties include patrolling assigned areas, enforcing laws, policies and regulations, investigating crimes and accidents, responding to emergencies or other calls for service, preparing reports and providing safety education.  Openings include:

  • Full-time Corporal: Middle shift (4 pm – Midnight)
  • Full-time Officer:  Middle or night shift availability required

A degree in criminal justice and/or prior experience in law enforcement (Act 120), preferably in a higher educational setting is required.  Act 235 certification is also required. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to campus community interaction and safety education.   Both positions require a background check, including criminal history, drug screening and a psychological evaluation.

Aquatic Specialist –Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

The Rodale Aquatic Center, located on the campus of Cedar Crest College, is seeking a qualified full time, certified lifeguard who will also serve as a swim school instructor.  This position will instruct swim classes, lifeguard, schedule and provide direction to Center lifeguards and otherwise assist in assuring the overall safety of the Center. 

A Bachelor’s degree in related field (recreation, sports management, etc.) preferred, current certification as a lifeguard, and in CPR, AED and First Aid required.  Prior experience in an aquatic facility and familiarity with scheduling are also required.  Exceptional time management, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.  Qualified candidates must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends while the Center is operational.

Part Time Dispatcher/Switchboard
Campus Police

Do you have prior dispatch/switchboard experience with an interest in law enforcement? If so, consider the opportunity to join our team to answer and redirect calls, monitor radio and surveillance systems, monitor alarm systems, dispatch officers, contact appropriate off-campus emergency response personnel as necessary, maintain confidentiality and other duties to keep our campus and students safe. The successful candidate will have prior experience in dispatch/switchboard operations or law enforcement coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to communicate and function well in stressful situations. LIFEGUARDS
Rodale Aquatic Center (RAC)
at Cedar Crest College

Our pleasant and unique Aquatic Center is seeking qualified lifeguards for our busy facility dedicated to fostering civic health and wellness in the community. The Aquatic Center is open 7 days a week, year round from 5:30 AM – 9:00 PM.

Lifeguards typically work four hour shifts and the Center can be flexible with scheduling, depending on availability. The typical work week is 15 – 20 hours total. Opportunities are available during the following part time shifts:

Monday through Friday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturdays 6:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Sundays 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Qualifications: Lifeguarding and CPR certifications are required to work at the Center. Guards with experience teaching swim lessons or the willingness to learn to instruct lessons preferred.
