Program Director
Didactic Program in Dietetics
Full time, 12 month faculty

Cedar Crest College is accepting applications for a Program Director to direct all facets of the Didactic Program (DP) in Dietetics, including ensuring and maintaining compliance with Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) standards, submitting required reports to ACEND and the College, maintaining accurate recordkeeping of student performance and participating in Nutrition department strategic planning processes and initiatives.  The DP Director works collaboratively to build and maintain a high quality academic curriculum committed to strong didactic and experiential design.  The appointment is primarily teaching, both graduate and undergraduate courses with administrative duties to direct the program. The Director also participates in community education initiatives, engages in continuing professional development and conducts scholarly activities.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a master’s degree in Nutrition or related field; doctorate degree preferred.  Candidates must also be credentialed through CDR, and have at least three years in dietetics practice coupled with prior experience teaching at the college level across the didactic curriculum.  Prior experience with ACEND accreditation standards and procedures is preferred.

Adjunct Faculty

Nursing Faculty Positions

Assistant Program Director
Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA) Program

Cedar Crest College is accepting applications for an Assistant Program Director to assist with the daily operations of the newly created Doctorate of Nursing in Anesthesia program and assure compliance with the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia educational programs and guidelines.  Responsibilities will include teaching in the nurse anesthesia program, assisting with program and curriculum development, and student advising. The position also involves related duties such as college committee work, departmental duties, and continuing professional development.

The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate degree and possess active certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with demonstrated skills in nurse anesthesia education and clinical practice. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of three years of clinical experience; graduate preparation in the basic and clinical sciences relevant to nurse anesthesia practice; and prior classroom teaching experience. Nursing Faculty Positions

Nursing Learning Resource Center Coordinator  

Cedar Crest College is accepting applications for Learning Resource Center Coordinator to coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the nursing labs, simulation center and the resources associated with the Resource Center.  The Coordinator collaborates with nursing faculty in the development, implementation and revision of the nursing program curriculum, lab protocols and procedures, coordinates student, faculty and continuing education activities in the labs and simulation center, and facilitates the development and integration of simulation into the curriculum.  The Coordinator also serves as a resource to faculty and students in developing strategies for professional development and skill acquisition.    

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Nursing with active licensure as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania, in addition to the clinical skills and instructional ability to facilitate skills acquisition with students. Prior experience with simulation and lab education strongly preferred, as is the demonstrated ability to function independently and as part of a team.  Familiarity with the student nurse role, practice learning environments and clinical education requirements are required.  Exceptional communication and customer relations skills as well as effective organizational, time management and planning skills are necessary for success!

Technical Services Librarian

Cedar Crest College is seeking a Technical Services Librarian for planning, organizing, implementing, processing and directing all areas of technical services, including archives, acquisitions, cataloging and serials management.  The Technical Services Librarian also provides assistance to users, including conducting workshops, and trains and supervises student assistants engaged in the acquisition and serials collection processes and maintenance procedures.  The Technical Services Librarian assures that all materials are made available to the campus community in a timely manner.

Head Swim Coach
Full Time

Cedar Crest College is seeking a Head Swim Coach who will also assist with programming and events at the Rodale Aquatic Center.  The swim coach will develop, recruit and administer a competitive women’s swim program consistent with the student-athlete philosophy of NCAA Division III athletics.   The head swim coach is expected to develop, coordinate and manage an active recruitment and retention program for student athletes. 

A Bachelor's degree and prior experience coaching swimming at the high school or college level is required. Candidates must also have demonstrated success at effectively recruiting and retaining student-athletes.   Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills are essential.  CPR, First Aid and AED certifications are also required.  Certification as a lifeguard preferred.

Associate Director of International Admissions

Cedar Crest College is seeking an experienced admissions professional to lead the College’s international student recruitment initiatives, including coordinating processes, required documentation and agency communication, in addition to traveling internationally for recruitment.    The Associate Director serves as the contact person for international inquiries from students, families and agencies seeking an undergraduate education in the United States, specifically at a historic women’s college.  The Associate Director works collaboratively with others to provide a seamless transition for international students enrolling at the College.

International Student Services Coordinator

Cedar Crest College is seeking an International Student Services Coordinator to ensure international students are in compliance with all relevant legal regulations and campus policies.  The Coordinator will serve as the DSO for the College, maintain SEVIS records for current and former students and will help students access all appropriate immigration benefits.   The Coordinator will work collaboratively with members of the Academic Services and the campus community to support international students during their transition to Cedar Crest and throughout their education.

Manager of Donor Relations and Special Events

Cedar Crest College offers an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated and collaborative individual to join a fast paced development team.   The Manager of Donor Relations and Special Events is responsible for developing an individualized donor relations program that strengthens the long term relationships with scholarship and major donors as well as planning, developing, coordinating and executing all aspects of special events  for the department.   The Manager will maintain an active schedule of meetings with donor prospects and assist with overall development efforts of the department, including the Cedar Crest Fund.

Cedar Crest College is seeking a dynamic, experienced Director of Adult and Graduate Admissions who will be responsible for directing the activities of the School of Adult and Graduate Education (SAGE) admissions office, including planning supervising, and assessing all aspects of the admissions and recruitment for graduate and undergraduate programs. Network Administrator

Cedar Crest College is seeking a customer focused Network Administrator to maintain and monitor our technology infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, remote access systems, network applications, servers and disaster recovery.  The Network Administrator is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and forecasting LAN, WAN server performance, installing and maintaining applications, servers, distributing software upgrades, and operating system updates while ensuring the overall security of the technology infrastructure and prioritizing campus network reliability.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or equivalent professional experience and at least five years of experience with in network administration, including troubleshooting server/computer hardware and software problems.  Vendor and educational sponsored technical training certifications such as MCSE, Network + or similar are required.  Technical knowledge requirements include:  Desktop operating systems (Windows 7 and 10), Network operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), Virtual Servers (VMWare), Microsoft Office 365, Aruba Wireless Networks and Extreme, Palo Alto and Hewlett Packard Networking. CAMPUS POLICE
Two Full Time Positions

Cedar Crest College has two excellent opportunities for experienced law enforcement professionals to join our campus police team!  The College’s commissioned officers provide for the safety and welfare of the entire campus community, including our residential housing, on a 24 hour basis, 7 days a week.  Basic duties include patrolling assigned areas, enforcing laws, policies and regulations, investigating crimes and accidents, responding to emergencies or other calls for service, preparing reports and providing safety education.  Openings include:

  • Full-time Corporal: Middle shift (4 pm – Midnight)
  • Full-time Officer:  Middle or night shift availability required

A degree in criminal justice and/or prior experience in law enforcement (Act 120), preferably in a higher educational setting is required.  Act 235 certification is also required. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to campus community interaction and safety education.   Both positions require a background check, including criminal history, drug screening and a psychological evaluation.

Director of First and Second year Experience

Cedar Crest College offers an outstanding opportunity for an energetic professional to provide leadership for and administrative oversight for the College’s efforts designed to facilitate learning experiences to promote student success in and out of the classroom for first and second year students.  The Director will foster increased collaborations within and work closely with Student Affairs, Academic Affairs and faculty, teaching freshman and sophomore level courses.  Working with the Director of Student Success and Retention, the Director will play a critical role in developing efforts to improve the College’s retention and graduation rates and student success. 

Primary responsibilities include collaborating with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, faculty and other administrative units in the planning and development and success of the FYE and SYE programs, coordinating efforts and planning with SOAR (Summer Orientation and Academic Registration), August orientation and welcome back activities, and assisting in the coordination of the Sophomore Year Expedition trip annually, which takes sophomores abroad each year for 7 – 10 days.  The Director will also identify and establish collaborative relationships with offices that support development and retention of first and second year students, coordinate the First Friday lecture series, and develop, coordinate, implement, manage and promote the College’s FYE and SYE’s programs, including the articulation of a vision and goals for student learning and development in the first and second years as well as the creation of academic and co-curricular programs in support of the FYE and SYE programs.  In addition, the Director will develop and implement High Impact Practices for working with first and second year students, set the direction of future phases of the first and second year experiences as well as provide general supervision of student Peer and Transfer Mentors, maintain and oversee a budget and coordinate a parent communication plan. 

A Master’s degree in higher education administration or related subject and at least two years of experience in orientation, admissions or other related academic area are required; experience with residence life and/or advising is strongly preferred.  The successful candidate must have a passion for working with a diverse student population, a commitment to student learning and development, and strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.  Proven experience with and a thorough understanding of principles and practices involved in FYE and SYE program development, theoretical models, best practices, and current issues supporting first and second year student transition, development and retention is essential.   Strong and effective communication, leadership, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills are also critical to the position.  Demonstrated ability to utilize technology in the delivery of student programs strongly preferred.  Prior experience in event management and program planning as well as demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, solve complex interpersonal situations and prioritize multiple responsibilities are necessary.

Aquatic Specialist –Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

The Rodale Aquatic Center, located on the campus of Cedar Crest College, is seeking a qualified full time, certified lifeguard who will also serve as a swim school instructor.  This position will instruct swim classes, lifeguard, schedule and provide direction to Center lifeguards and otherwise assist in assuring the overall safety of the Center. 

A Bachelor’s degree in related field (recreation, sports management, etc.) preferred, current certification as a lifeguard, and in CPR, AED and First Aid required.  Prior experience in an aquatic facility and familiarity with scheduling are also required.  Exceptional time management, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.  Qualified candidates must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends while the Center is operational.

Part Time Dispatcher/Switchboard
Campus Police

Do you have prior dispatch/switchboard experience with an interest in law enforcement? If so, consider the opportunity to join our team to answer and redirect calls, monitor radio and surveillance systems, monitor alarm systems, dispatch officers, contact appropriate off-campus emergency response personnel as necessary, maintain confidentiality and other duties to keep our campus and students safe. The successful candidate will have prior experience in dispatch/switchboard operations or law enforcement coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to communicate and function well in stressful situations. LIFEGUARDS
Rodale Aquatic Center (RAC)
at Cedar Crest College

Our pleasant and unique Aquatic Center is seeking qualified lifeguards for our busy facility dedicated to fostering civic health and wellness in the community. The Aquatic Center is open 7 days a week, year round from 5:30 AM – 9:00 PM.

Lifeguards typically work four hour shifts and the Center can be flexible with scheduling, depending on availability. The typical work week is 15 – 20 hours total. Opportunities are available during the following part time shifts:

Monday through Friday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturdays 6:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Sundays 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Qualifications: Lifeguarding and CPR certifications are required to work at the Center. Guards with experience teaching swim lessons or the willingness to learn to instruct lessons preferred.
