OAKES NAMED TO PAC BASKETBALL HONOR ROLL OF THE WEEK

Aston, PA (December 10, 2007) – Sophomore Kelly Oakes  (Wilmington, DE/ Delcastle Tech) was named to the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Basketball Honor Roll for her outstanding performance in the week ending December 9. 

This marks the second time this season Oakes has been recognized by the PAC.  Oakes was named the PAC Co-Player of the Week in the week ending on November 26. 

Oakes posted back-to-back double-doubles with 15 points and 14 rebounds in a 75-53 loss to Marywood University and 18 points and 13 rebounds in the Falcons 85-47 win over Valley Forge Christian College.  She also dished out six assists in the win over Valley Forge. 

Oakes has now posted double-doubles in seven out of eight contests for Cedar Crest this season.  She also leads the team with 31 assists and is averaging a team-best 13.5 rebounds per game. 

The Falcons are currently 3-5 overall and 0-3 in the PAC and are set to take on Davis College Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. in Lees Gymnasium.
