FIVE PLAYERS HIT DOUBLE FIGURES TO LEAD CEDAR CREST TO 92-58 WIN OVER DAVIS COLLEGE
Allentown, PA (December 10, 2007) – All five starters for Cedar Crest College scored in double figures to help earn a 92-58 win over visiting Davis College in non-league action on Monday evening in Lees Gymnasium.
Sophomore Kelly Oakes was outstanding in the win just missing a triple-double by two assists. Oakes tallied 14 points, 14 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals in the victory. Freshman Keri Lasky was also impressive with 13 points, a career-high nine assists, and four steals on the night.
Freshman Leann Wallower once again led Cedar Crest with 17 points, while classmate Lauren Seale added 16 points and four steals. Junior Sarah Campbell also hit double figures and her season-high with 12 points and seven rebounds.
Senior Nicole Parker and sophomore Jesenia Holguin each posted their season-highs with six points apiece for Cedar Crest.
Cedar Crest shot a season-high 52 percent from the field and shot a season-best 92 percent from the free throw line.
Junior Nikki Nesbit led the way for Davis with a game-high 25 points, while sophomore Brittany Rowe added 22 points.
The Falcons improves to 4-5 on the season, while Davis falls to 4-4. Cedar Crest will return to action when they host Baptist Bible College on Tuesday, January 8 at 6:00 p.m. in Lees Gymnasium.
