LASKY AND OAKES NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED IN NCAA STATISTICS

Allentown, PA (January 2, 2008) – Cedar Crest College basketball standouts Keri Lasky and Kelly Oakes were ranked in the top 15 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Division III basketball statistics in free throw  percentage and rebounds per game, respectively. 

Lasky, a freshman from Annandale, NJ, ranks 14th in the nation with a 94.1 free throw percentage.  Lasky currently leads the team, averaging 14.7 points per game.

Oakes, a sophomore from Wilmington, DE, ranks 14th in the nation averaging a team-high 12.5 rebounds per game.  Oakes also leads the team with 39 assists and is averaging 13.3 points per contest.  Oakes has posted double-doubles in eight out of nine contests this season for the Falcons. 

Cedar Crest (4-5 Overall, 0-3 PAC) will be back in action on Tuesday, January 8th when they host Baptist Bible College at 6:00 p.m. in non-conference action.
