CIPRIANI, OAKES, AND WALLOWER LEAD CEDAR CREST TO CONVINCING 79-36 WIN OVER PENN STATE HAZELTON

Hazelton, PA (January 31, 2008) – Three players scored in double-figures to lead the Cedar Crest basketball team to a convincing 79-36 win over Penn State Hazelton in non-league action on Thursday evening.

Freshman Leann Wallower hit for a game-high 21 points, while sophomore Kelly Oakes posted her 12th double-double of the season with 15 points and 14 rebounds.  She also added eight assists and four steals.  Freshman Kelley Cipriani posted her career-high with 14 points and six boards on the night. 

Senior Nicole Parker added a career-high six assists, while junior Sarah Campbell added nine points, shooting a perfect four-for-four from the field. 

Amanda Pursel led the Lady Lions with 17 points and seven rebounds. 

The Falcons improve to 5-13 overall (0-10 PAC) on the season.   

Cedar Crest will return to action when they travel to Alvernia College on Monday, February 4 at 7:00 p.m. in Pennsylvania
