WALLOWER NAMED PAC BASKETBALL CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Aston, PA (February 11, 2007) – Freshman Leann Wallower (Havertown, PA/Haverford) was named the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Basketball Co-Player of the Week for her outstanding performance in the week ending February 10.

This marks the sixth time this season a Falcon has been recognized by the PAC.  Sophomore Kelly Oakes was named the PAC Co-Player of the Week in the week ending on November 26 and to the PAC Honorable Mention on the week ending December 9, while freshman Keri Lasky was recognized as a PAC Honorable Mention in the week ending January 13. 

Wallower has also been named a PAC Honorable Mention twice this season in the weeks ending January 22nd and 28th. 

Wallower averaged 23 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, helping the Falcons go 1-2 in PAC play this week.  She posted 23 points and 12 rebounds in Cedar Crest’s 57-45 win over Immaculata University.  She also added 22 points and six rebounds in the Falcons’ 67-64 loss to Rosemont College.  Wallower also notched a game-high 24 points and 10 rebounds in an 83-55 loss to Alvernia College.  She was the game-high scorer in all three contests.

The Falcons are currently 6-15 overall and 1-12 in the PAC and are set to host Penn State Berks
