CAMPBELL NAMED CEDAR CREST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Allentown, PA (February 12, 2008) -- Junior forward Sarah Campbell (Plainfield, IL/Notre Dame) was named the Cedar Crest Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance in the week ending February 10.

Campbell has caught fire late in the season with three-straight double-digit scoring games, including two double-doubles. 
She posted 17 points and 12 boards in an 83-55 loss to Alvernia College, while also adding 14 points and 10 rebounds in a 67-64 loss to Rosemont College.  Campbell also posted 16 points and five boards in a 57-45 win at Immaculata University.

Campbell is averaging 9.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per outing.  She also leads the team, shooting 48.0 percent from the field. 

The Falcons are currently 6-16 overall (1-12 PAC).  Cedar Crest will return to action when they host Alvernia College on Thursday, February 14 at 7:00 p.m. Thursday night will be the WBCA’s Think Pink Game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.  All fans are asked to wear pink to the game!  Those who do will be entered in a free drawing for great pink prizes.  We will have students from the nursing department before and during the game passing out information about breast cancer, including information about early detection.
