OAKES AND WALLOWER NAMED TO PAC HONOROABLE MENTION TEAM

Aston, PA (March 4, 2008) – Sophomore Kelly Oakes  (Wilmington, DE/ Delcastle Tech) and freshman Leann Wallower (Havertown, PA/Haverford) were named to the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Basketball Honorable Mention Team by a vote of the league’s coaches released by the conference office on Tuesday.   

Oakes ranked 12th in the nation and first in the PAC, averaging 12.2 rebounds per game.  She also averaged 12.0 points per game and posted a team-best 123 assists this season.  Oakes had a career- and team-high 14 double-doubles this season.

Wallower finished first in the conference with 64 steals and also ranked third in conference play, averaging a team-best 15.7 points per game. 

Oakes was named the PAC Co-Player of the Week in the week ending on November 26 and to the PAC Honorable Mention on the week ending December 9, while Wallower was named a PAC Honorable Mention twice this season in the weeks ending January 22 and 28 and the PAC Co-Player of the Week for the week ending February 11.  

The Falcons finish the season with a 6-19 overall record and a 1-15 finish in the PAC.
