SOPHOMORE RACHEL ORLEN TOPS NCAA DIVISION III IN SAVES

Allentown, PA (October 4, 2007) – Cedar Crest College’s Rachel Orlen tops the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Division III in saves and saves per game, as listed on the NCAA’s field hockey website. 

The sophomore from Robbinsville, NJ, has posted 177 saves in 11 games to rank first in the country.  Orlen also ranks third in the country with 16.09 saves per contest.    

Orlen posted a career-high 37 saves in a 9-0 loss to Marywood on Wednesday afternoon in Scranton, PA. 

The Falcons will be back in action on Thursday, October 11 when they host Gwynedd-Mercy College at 4:00 p.m.
