ALVERNIA COLLEGE OUTLASTS CEDAR CREST SOCCER IN PAC ACTION

Allentown, PA (September 19, 2007) – Brandi Light tallied three goals and two assists to lead Alvernia College to a 5-0 win over Cedar Crest in women’s soccer on Wednesday afternoon in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action. 

Alexandra Stengel added two goals, while Stephanie Loftus notched two assists on the day for the Crusaders. 

Alvernia outshot the Falcons, 30-8, and held a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks. 

Freshman Amy Stumpff made 17 saves, while senior Caitlyn Little posted five saves in the net for Cedar Crest.  Danielle Fitzpatrick made eight saves for the Crusaders. 

The Falcons fall to 2-5 (0-2 PAC) on the season and will travel to Immaculata University on Saturday, September 22 for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
