TENNIS WINS SIXTH MATCH OF THE SEASON WITH VICTORY OVER ALVERNIA COLLEGE

Allentown, PA (September 19, 2007) – The Cedar Crest tennis team posted its sixth win of the season on Wednesday with a 7-2 victory over Pennsylvania Athletic Conference foe Alvernia College.

Sophomore Maria Mallery and Freshman Alex Kuebler remain undefeated in doubles action this season with an 8-4 victory over Katie McCormack and Janine Horning in the No. 2 doubles spot. 

Sophomore Sara Messner and freshman Sarah Schopf defeated Samantha Bader and Heather Leader, 8-1, in the No. 3 doubles spot.

Sophomore Laura Shivley defeated Hannah Dickey, 6-3, 6-4, in No. 2 singles action, while Kuebler added another win in No. 3 doubles action, defeating Horning, 6-4, 6-2.

Messner, Schopf, and senior Colleen Ford added singles victories at the remaining No. 4, 5, and 6 spots, respectively. 

Cedar Crest improves to 6-1 (2-1 PAC) on the season and will travel to the College of Notre Dame on Sunday, September 23 at 1:00 p.m.
