CEDAR CREST’S ALEX KUEBLER NAMED PAC TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Aston, PA (September 10, 2007) – Freshman Alex Kuebler (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills) was named the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Tennis Player of the Week for her outstanding performance in the week ending September 9. 

Kuebler is currently 3-0 at the No. 3 singles position and 3-0 at the No. 2 doubles position for the undefeated Falcons. 

Kuebler’s first collegiate victory over Philadelphia Biblical’s Melissa Chiasson, 6-0, 6-0.  Maria Mallery and Kuebler defeated PBU’s Chiasson and Katie Aungst, 8-0, in the No. 1 doubles spot.  Kuebler also notched a victory over the College of St Elizabeth’s Kim Christel, 8-1.  Mallery and Kuebler then notched an 8-1 win over CSE’s Christel and Lisa Colambrone. Kuebler also notched a 6-1, 6-1 win over Eastern in singles action and an 8-2 win in doubles action. 

Cedar Crest is currently 3-0 (1-0 PAC) on the season and will travel to Pennsylvania Athletic Conference foe Cabrini College on Tuesday, September 11 at 4:00 p.m.
