ALVERNIA VOLLEYBALL EDGES CEDAR CREST

Reading, PA (October 1, 2007) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team fell, 3-1, to Pennsylvania Athletic Conference rival Alvernia College on Tuesday evening in the Physical Education Center. 

The Crusaders won by scores of, 30-25, 30-26, 20-30, and 30-15 over the Falcons. 

Freshman Keri Lasky set a new season record with a game-high 38 digs to lead Cedar Crest.  Lasky also posted four service aces and five kills. 

Sophomore Mackenzie Lee added a team-high nine kills, 15 digs, and three service aces, while classmate Kelly Oakes notched eight kills and 13 digs.  Graduate student Janine Kishbaugh posted a game-high four blocks and added 12 digs. 

The Falcons are now 7-10 (2-3 PAC) on the season and will host PAC member Cabrini College on Thursday, October 4 at 7:00 p.m. in Lees Gymnasium.
