CABRINI HANDS CEDAR CREST LOSS IN LACROSSE ACTION
Allentown, PA (April 1, 2008) – The Cabrini College lacrosse team posted an 18-6 victory over Cedar Crest College on Tuesday afternoon in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action.
The first half was all Cabrini as the Cavaliers scored nine unanswered goals over the first 20 minutes of the half. Sophomore Jesenia Holguin put the Falcons on the board at the 8:51 mark with an unassisted tally. Cabrini scored four more goals in the first half to give the Cavaliers a 13-1 halftime lead.
Cedar Crest sophomore Amanda Dombroski opened the second half with an unassisted goal at the 25:22 mark before Cabrini’s Katelyn Penrose answered at 24:22 to make it a 14-2 contest.
Dombroski answered again just three minutes off of a pass from sophomore Mackenzie Lee. Cabrini’s Danielle Rothermel answered with a goal, before sophomore Bailey Bedell posted a goal off of an assist from Lee at the 13:05 mark to make it 15-4.
Senior Danielle Skinner posted two unassisted goals in the last two minutes of the contest for the Falcons.
Cabrini was led by Jamie O’Hanlan who had three goals and three assists on the day.
The Falcons fall to 1-7 (1-4 PAC) on the season, while Cabrini improves to 5-1 (4-0 PAC).
The Falcons will travel to Immaculata University on Thursday, April 3 at 4:00 p.m. in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action.
