HOLLAND NAMED CEDAR CREST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Allentown, PA (April 8, 2008) -- Junior pitcher Allison Holland (Mercerburg, PA/James Buchanan) was named the Cedar Crest Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance in the week ending April 6.

Holland notched 20 strikeouts in 10 consecutive innings, leading the Falcons to back-to-back victories over Rosemont College.  Holland held opponents to a .118 batting average, allowing four hits and zero runs in a 2-0 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference week. 

Holland was also named the PAC pitcher of the week. 

The Falcons are currently on a four-game winning streak with an 11-7 overall record and they are 6-2 in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference play.
