SOFTBALL TAKES TWO FROM PHILADELPHIA BIBLE
Langhorne, PA (March 15, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College softball team continued its winning ways on Saturday afternoon with two wins over non-conference opponent Philadelphia Bible University.
The Falcons posted a 4-1 victory in game one, while holding on for an 8-7 win in game two.
Senior Allison Holland picked up the win in game one, striking out 13 batters and allowing no walks in seven innings of work.
Holland went 2-4 with one RBI and a double, while junior Alyssa Kabat went 2-4 with a double.
Kabat earned her first win of the season in game two, striking out two batters in five innings.
Freshman Amy Stumpff went 3-4, knocking in two runs, while junior Sarah Campbell also came up big, going 2-4 with two RBI in the nightcap. JuniorsTashsa Breiner and Alyssa Bonner each posted two hits in the win.
The Falcons improve to 6-5 overall, while Philadelphia Bible falls to 1-7 on the season.
Cedar Crest will host Keystone College on Tuesday, March 18 at 3:00 p.m. for a double-header in non-conference action.
