TENNIS DROPS MATCH TO MISERICORDIA IN NON-LEAGUE ACTION

Allentown, PA (September 2, 2008) – Junior Sara Messner continued her winning ways to improve to 2-0 on the season, but it would not be enough as the Cedar Crest College tennis team dropped a 7-2 loss to Misericordia University on Tuesday afternoon in non-league action.

Messner defeated Courtney Otto, 6-4, 6-4 in No. 4 singles action.  Messner and junior Laura Shivley then topped Maura Haupt and Otto in No. 2 doubles action, 8-4. 

Cedar Crest falls to 0-2 on the season, while Misericordia improves to 2-1 overall.

The Falcons will travel to Chestnut Hill College on Thursday, September 4 at 4:00 p.m. in non-league action.
