TENNIS EARNS BIG WIN OVER CHESTNUT HILL IN NON-CONFERENCE ACTION

Chestnut Hill, PA (September 4, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College tennis team proved a big winner this afternoon with an 8-1 win over non-conference opponent Chestnut Hill College.

Sophomore Alex Kuebler and junior Sarah Messner posted an 8-4 win in No. 2 doubles action, while sophomores Amy Dichter and Sarah Schopf added an 8-3 win at the No. 3 doubles spot.

Junior Maria Mallery notched a win in No. 1 singles action with scores of 6-2, 6-4 to beat Erin Anderson and Kuebler added another win at the No. 2 singles spot with a 6-3, 5-7, 10-7 win over Cara Wallin.

Junior Laura Shivley defeated Sarah Doherty in the No. 3 singles spot and Dicheter and Schopf added wins at the No. 5 and 6 spots respectively. 

Cedar Crest improves to 1-2 on the season, while Chestnut Hill falls to 1-3 overall.

The Falcons will host Arcadia University on Monday, September 8th at 4:00 p.m.
