CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES SIXTH AT NEPA CROSS COUNTRY CLASSIC

Wilkes Barre, PA (August 29, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College women’s cross country team notched a sixth place finish at the Northeast Pennsylvania Cross Country Classic held by King’s College on Friday evening.

Misericordia University won the race with 41 points while the University of Scranton and Marywood University were second and third respectively with 43 and 65 points. King's was fourth with 71 points, while Baptist Bible and Cedar Crest rounded out the competition. 

Sophomore Kristen Geisinger claimed the top-spot for the Falcons with a 35th place finish in a time of 17:26.  Junior Tasha Jones ended with a 40th place finish in a time of 17:41.

The cross country team will head to Salisbury University to compete in the Seagull Opener on Saturday, September 6 for a 10:00 a.m. race.
