CROSS COUNTRY TAKES 12th AT THE ANNUAL MULE-FALCON CLASSIC

Allentown, PA (September 13, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College women’s cross country team finished in 12th place overall at the annual Mule-Falcon Classic held on the campus of Cedar Crest College on Saturday afternoon.

Muhlenberg College won the race with a total of 50 points, while Georgian Court finished in second with 82 points.  Keystone claimed third with 84 points, Marywood took fourth with 123, and Bryn Mawr finished fifth with 144 points.  Cabrini College finished sixth with 192 points, while Wilkes took seventh with 206 point.  Eastern (215), Baptist Bible (219), Penn State Berks (247), Immaculata (260), and Cedar Crest (278) rounded out the finishers. 

Sophomore Kristen Geisinger claimed the top-spot for the Falcons with a 40th place finish in a time of 24:33.6.  Junior Tasha Jones ended with a 52nd place finish in a time of 25:35.6.

The cross country team will head to Misericordia University to compete in the Cougar Classic on Saturday, September 20 for a 10:30 a.m. race.
