CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES NINTH AT COUGAR CLASSIC

Dallas, PA (September 20, 2008) – Kristen Geisinger ran her personal best with a time of 23:07 to pace the Cedar Crest women’s cross country team to a ninth place finish at the Cougar Classic, hosted by Misericordia University and held on their Byron Property.

Ithaca College finished first with 28 points, while former PAC rival Misericordia finished second and Moravian College in third, with 93 and 94 points, respectively. New CSAC member Baptist Bible College finished one spot ahead of the Falcons with 228 points, while the University of Scranton (95) finished fourth, Keystone College (115) fifth, King’s College (142) sixth, and Wilkes University (175) seventh. Lycoming College (284) finished the race tenth.

Freshmen Kelly Gonzalez (24:22), Alicia Gray (26:02), Courtney Bossard (28:14) and Heather Moody (28:37) also each ran their personal best.

The cross country team will travel to the Belmont Classic, hosted by Cabrini College, on Saturday, September 27, for a 12:30 p.m. race.
