The Department of Athletics
provides facilities, personnel and programming for the entire
College community. Programs include intramurals, clubs,
wellness and informal recreation. Examples of such programs include intramural
softball, badminton, soccer, floor hockey and volleyball; aerobics, Yoga
classes and Exercise Across America; and the 50-Mile Club (for runners
and walkers). The philosophy of the Department is that the need to exercise
is far more important than superior athletic ability. Although an interest
in competitive sport can be satisfied through intramural programs, ample
opportunities exist for those who prefer self-directed, noncompetitive
activities. All members of the College community are encouraged to visit
the new Fitness Center.
Plan
to Visit
You are encouraged to visit Cedar Crest to discuss your educational plans and
athletic interests. During your visit, you can arrange to meet the athletic
director or the coach of your preferred sport. If you cannot schedule a
visit, contact Cedar Crest's athletic director to discuss your interests
in intercollegiate athletics at the College. In addition to arranging a
meeting with a representative from the athletic department, a campus visit
generally includes admissions and financial aid presentations, discussions
with faculty and students and campus tours.
Cedar Crest College
complies with all applicable federal and state legislation and
does not discriminate in educational programs or in employment
on the basis of race, religion, national origin, age, gender,
disability or sexual orientation.
