Head Coach:Kristy Henritzy
Kutztown University '01
Fifth Season

Henritzy is entering her fifth season as Head Coach of the Cedar Crest College softball team, after leading the Falcons to their most successful season in team history, with an overall record of 17-14, a conference record of 11-11 and a berth in the first round of the PAC playoffs. Coach Henritzy was recently honored at the Allentown Patriots Athletic Association's annual banquet with the Collegiate Athletic Award, given to a player or coach for promoting women's fastpitch softball. Coach Henritzy graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications/Public Relations and served as Kutztown's assistant softball coach prior to coaching at Cedar Crest. Henritzy played softball at Kutztown on an athletic scholarship, earning first team All PSAC honors in 2000 and 2001. She was also a first team All-ECAC selection and a second team All- Region NFCA selection in 2001.

Herman "Butch" Gestl, Assistant Coach

"Butch" is also entering his fifth season as an Assistant Softball Coach at Cedar Crest. He currently resides in Bethlehem, PA.

Dr. Larry "DQ" Quarino, Assistant Coach

This is the fifth season that Dr. Larry Quarino has been an assistant on Coach Henritzy's staff. He played high school baseball and spent 15 years as a coach and player in organized softball leagues in and around New York City. Larry is Assistant Professor of  Chemical and Physical Sciences and the Director of the Forensic Science Program at Cedar Crest.

Jess Serfass '05, Assistant Coach

Jess Serfass is entering her second season as an assistant on Coach Henritzy's staff. Jess played for Coach Henritzy from 2002-2005 and was a two year captain. Jess was the 2005 winner of Cedar Crest College's Upperclassmen Athletic Service Award. She received her undergraduate degree in Biospsychology from Cedar Crest in 2005 and is pursuing a graduate degree in Elementary Education.
