National firm retained to assist in presidential transition efforts
Dear Cedar Crest Community,
I want to update and inform everyone that the Executive Committee has selected the national firm Witt/Kieffer to assist the Search Committee and Board in our Presidential Transition efforts moving forward. The Committee was immensely impressed with Witt/Kieffer’s experience in working with women’s colleges and their familiarity with Cedar Crest, their proposed methodology and very tailored approach in addressing our unique Presidential Transition needs, and their commitment to keeping the campus community informed and involved.
Our Witt/Kieffer consultants—Robin Mamlet (Managing Partner) and Sheila Murphy (Executive Search Consultant) will be working with the Search Committee to finalize activities and efforts. Foremost among these will be coordinating and scheduling a series of campus visits to learn more about Cedar Crest and to talk with faculty, staff, students, alums and trustees to get their respective input about the College’s future needs and priorities, as well as aspirations for the new President. These discussions will help shape the Presidential Profile document that will be used to guide our future Presidential Transition efforts.
The Search Committee will disseminate more information concerning these visits, along with other planned activities, in subsequent notes and updates to the Cedar Crest Community via the Presidential Transition page on the College’s website, which will be completed and live soon. Everyone will be notified when any new information is posted to this site, so please stay alert for these subsequent notifications.
Once again, thank you all for your ongoing support, insight, and input as we progress through this critically important process to select the College’s next President.
David P. Keller
Chair of the Board
