If you’ve ever dreamed of sharing your writings, or artwork, with others, submit your work to: Pitch: A Journal of Arts and Literature
Try out your creative writing and artistic skills with Pitch. Submit your original fiction, creative nonfiction, or poetry. Or send in your black-and-white or color photography, photographs of artwork, digital art, video, or new media creative works for review and possible publication.
You may also apply for Pitch’s two-year editorial internship, which is assigned by the English program.
Pitch is published and edited by those with a love for creative expression, featuring an editorial board composed of Cedar Crest students, alumnae and faculty. Our authors, artists and editors come from a variety of academic backgrounds, including English, communication, art, design and new media.
Pitch accepts the following original creative work by current Cedar Crest undergraduate and graduate students:
- Fiction
- Creative nonfiction
- Poetry
- Black and white photographs
- Color photographs
- Photographs of artwork
- Digital art
- Video
- Other new-media creative works

Develop and refine your skills. Creating and viewing great works will help you grow as an author and artist. Whether or not you dream of a career as a writer or artist, strong communication skills—in both the written word and visual art—can open up many opportunities in the workplace.
Raise your standards. We have high expectations for our authors and artists, and our editorial board will help you determine if your work is ready for publication. Your experiences will help you raise your personal standards and discover more about the publication process.
