Performance Opportunities

Cedar Crest Students showcase their talent at a number of productions throughout the fall and spring semester.

Throughout the fall and spring semester, students with a passion for the performing arts are able to showcase their talents in a variety of on-campus productions, including dramas and comedies, musical theatre, and dance productions. In addition to the opportunities listed below, all performing arts majors also will participate once a month in First Friday: a forum in which students present new works in progress for both faculty and peers.

Theatrical Productions

Throughout the academic year, the Department of Performing Arts produces four theatrical productions. Productions include dramatic and comedic selections by contemporary playwrights as well as classics chosen for their challenging women's roles. Modern musicals from Off-Broadway and successful regional theatre premieres are selected for their challenging roles for women and contemporary themes.
