The College community was so looking forward to celebrating Commencement with our graduates on August 22. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and Pennsylvania’s prohibition of gatherings larger than 250 people, the ceremony planned for that day at the PPL Center has been cancelled.
Instead, we will celebrate our graduates’ hard work and accomplishments during an adapted Commencement Recognition on the Cedar Crest College campus on August 15, 2020.
Graduates will select an available time on August 15, 2020 that works best for them individually. Commencement Recognition will run from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on the Cedar Crest College campus. When graduates complete the RSVP form; they will be given the opportunity to select a time that works best for them.
The Commencement Recognition will be an opportunity for individual graduates and their families to celebrate together the important milestone of graduating from Cedar Crest College. The event that is being planned will be a time for individual recognition by the College for each graduate who wishes to participate. Because the event will focus on the individual graduates, some of the more traditional experiences that are included in a Commencement Ceremony like student, alumnae, faculty, or guest speakers will not take place.
