Cedar Crest College, founded in 1867, is an independent, liberal-arts college that emphasizes cross-disciplinary cooperation and excellence in teaching, research, and practice. Cedar Crest enrolls over 1500 students through our co-educational School for Adult and Graduate Education and our traditional programs for women.  The large majority of Cedar Crest’s students – nearly ninety percent – are women. More than one-third are students of color and nearly forty percent are first-generation college students; they are religiously diverse and diverse in terms of gender and sexuality. Our population also includes students from many different countries, in addition to the U.S.

Job Title: Mailroom Associate - Part-time

Cedar Crest College is seeking an organized, customer focused individual to join our buy postal services team. The Mailroom Associate processes and coordinates all incoming, outgoing, and inter-campus mail and packages. The Associate also provides support for and serves as back up to the Campus Courier. The position is part-time, 20 hours per week, with flexible day time scheduling options.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with a valid PA driver’s license and safe driving record, along with familiarity with post office requirements, including U.S. Postal standard policies, procedures and regulations. Job Title: Staff Accountant

Cedar Crest College is seeking a detail-oriented, organized individual to serve as Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant is an integral member of the financial team. Responsibilities include assisting with maintaining the College’s general ledger and accounting records, monthly reconciliation of the Colleges endowment and endowed funds, and ensuring the accuracy, validity and completeness of all financial transactions. The Staff Accountant also processes all requests for payment and generates disbursements on a weekly schedule, researches and resolves A/P problems on a timely basis, assists with month and year-end close processes, with the preparation of schedules necessary for the year-end audit and reviews and posts all procurement card expense reports. The Staff Accountant also assures compliance with the College’s accounting policies and practices are in accordance with GAAP.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; experience in a non-profit or higher education preferred. Demonstrated experience working with current financial databases including Excel, Access and Powersoft Infomaker. The successful candidate must have strong organization and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Job Title: Assistant Dean of Students

Cedar Crest College is seeking an experienced higher education professional to join our leadership team. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Services and Success/Dean of Students, the Assistant Dean of Students (Assistant Dean) provides leadership for institutional efforts to promote a safe and healthy environment for all students. The Assistant Dean chairs the Care/Behavioral Intervention Team, manages the Cedar Crest College Community Standards policies and procedures, and supports initiatives that promote student health and wellbeing, including the Falcon Framework for Wellness. The Assistant Dean also coordinates parent communications, collaborates with partners across the College, and serves on committees as assigned. The Assistant Dean supervises the Director of Housing and Residence Life, the Director of Persistence Support Resources, and the Director of Student Accessibility Services. The Assistant Dean advocates for and with students as they navigate College policies and represents the Vice President of Student Services and Success/Dean of Students on committees and at events as assigned. This position requires availability for occasional evening and weekend work and serve in an occasional on-call capacity as necessary to ensure adequate coverage.

The successful candidate will have a master's degree in higher education, student affairs or related field; at least 5 years of experience in higher education with experience in care and crisis management, student conduct programs, disability services and/or basic needs resources; and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from underrepresented and underserved populations. Experience with parent programs is also beneficial. The Assistant Dean is expected to have independent judgment, critical thinking, and time management skills; the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines to deal with competing demands; and be able to collaborate effectively, with strong interpersonal communication, to build trust and cultivate intentional and varied relationships.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Conference Services
Part Time

Conference Services at Cedar Crest College is seeking a part time Administrative Assistant to assist in the daily operations of the department.  Responsibilities include supporting the Director of the department and other office personnel with administrative and clerical functions in delivering exceptional customer service for internal and external constituents. The Administrative Assistant also provides support for the Mayfair Festival of the Arts. This is a part time position (20-25 hours/week) with some evening and weekend hours on a periodic basis. 

The successful candidate must possess exceptional interpersonal, customer service and communication skills, as well as superior organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.  Proficiency with applicable technology and office software (especially Microsoft Word and Excel) is required as is a demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast paced, industrious environment. Job Title: International Programs Coordinator

Cedar Crest College is seeking a full time International Programs Coordinator to support the offices of Global Initiatives and International Student Services. The successful candidate will perform complex administrative and clerical work, exercise independent judgment on a broad range of needs of the offices, use multiple software applications and database systems, and interact with a wide range of students, faculty and staff. Responsibilities for this unique role include communicating on behalf of the offices, managing accurate program data and student files, supporting office programs and events, and advising and supporting students who wish to study abroad.

Bachelor’s degree in applicable discipline is required; Master’s degree in International Education or similar preferred.  Experience living, working, or studying abroad, or prior experience working in study abroad or international student services offices is preferred.  The successful candidate must possess exceptional interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills, as well as superior organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.  Proficiency with applicable technology—especially spreadsheets and data collection—and social media is required as is a demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member in a deadline-driven environment. Job Title: Enrollment Data Manager/CRM Administrator

Cedar Crest College is seeking a detail oriented, customer focused professional to serve as administrator for the college’s enrollment databases. The Manager/Administrator is responsible for daily operations of the college’s student information systems including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of enrollment information, report building, and for all outbound admissions communications (email, text, bulk mailing, etc.) through the college’s CRM. The Manager/Administrator also manages the lead purchases, works with outside vendors to ensure all admissions communications are effectively operational and trains user on data center systems and processes.

The successful candidate will have system administrator level skills in Salesforce, a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field and two to three years’ experience similar capacity, managing the daily operations of student or similar information system. Demonstrated proficiency using and managing applicant management databases is essential. Job Title: Electrician - Full time

Cedar Crest College is seeking an energetic, customer focused individual to add to our facilities maintenance team. The Electrician is responsible for interior and exterior electrical construction and maintenance of all campus buildings, fire alarm systems, data and telephone wiring, HVAC controls wiring and exterior fixtures.  The Electrician works collaboratively with the Facilities department to ensure work priorities are kept, work orders are completed and customers receive follow-up on their requests.  The Electrician must possess excellent customer service skills and have a commitment to providing the best possible environment for education and student living. The Electrician is considered “essential personnel” and is required to provide various duties and maintenance services, including snow removal, during and occasionally outside normal working hours and during institution closures; and duties associated with emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled events. This position is full-time with a Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM work schedule.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with a valid PA driver’s license and safe driving record. A minimum of three years’ experience in the profession required; Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician License preferred. Strong knowledge and understanding of basic drawing and blueprints required; as is basic knowledge of maintenance, safety practices, and work order systems is required, in addition to familiarity with applicable technology. Job Title: Communications Coordinator - Institutional Advancement

The Communications Coordinator for Institutional Advancement is a key member of the advancement marketing and communications effort, charged with writing, designing, and coordinating print, web, imagery and video as required. The Communications Coordinator establishes and maintains overall excellence and consistency among advancement communication materials and oversees project management for a wide range of communication projects to assure successful implementation, coordination and completion to meet deadlines and goals. Job Title: Administrative Assistant- Registrar’s Office

Cedar Crest College is seeking a detail-oriented, organized Administrative Assistant to provide support our busy Registrar’s office. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supervising and coordinating all tasks and functions within the office to assure a smooth running and customer focused experience. The Administrative Assistant assists students, faculty and staff in all areas of the office, including scheduling classroom events, coordinating Veterans benefits, managing the registration process, processing international student verification letters requests and supporting the Registrar in office tasks and procedures. The Assistant also provides support for compliance with accrediting bodies, serves as the liaison with other administrative offices, and supports departmental assessment activities.

Job Title: CAMPUS POLICE OFFICER
Full-Time and Part-Time Positions

Cedar Crest College has an excellent opportunity for experienced law enforcement professionals to join our campus police team! The College’s commissioned officers provide for the safety and welfare of the entire campus community, including our residential housing, on a 24 hour basis, 7 days a week. Basic duties include patrolling assigned areas, enforcing laws, policies and regulations, investigating crimes and accidents, responding to emergencies or other calls for service, preparing reports and providing safety education.

  • Full-time Officer: Night shift (Midnight – 8 AM)
  • Part-time Officers: Must be available for any shift

A degree in criminal justice and/or prior experience in law enforcement (Act 120), preferred. Act 235 certification is required. The ideal candidates will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to campus community interaction and safety education. Position requires a background check, including criminal history, drug screening and a psychological evaluation.
