Job Title: Art Faculty

The Art Department at Cedar Crest College invites applications for a resident faculty member, beginning August 2023. The position is eligible for consideration of tenure track or senior faculty rank (e.g., Associate), depending upon the qualifications of the successful applicant. We are looking for candidates who share the Department’s deep enthusiasm for student success in studio art and art therapy programs. The successful candidate will be committed to educating a diversity of students—including women, students of color, adult learners, and other identities—across the range of undergraduate programs that Cedar Crest offers. 

Teaching responsibilities for the 9-month appointment position include 24 teaching credits annually (averaging 4 classes per fall or spring semester). Teaching assignments shall include a broad range of courses across two dimensional/three dimensional studios and art history/appreciation to support programming for Art and Art Therapy majors and general-education students. Involvement and commitment toward community engagement is essential.  Demonstrated excellence in teaching, creative scholarship through an active exhibition record, and service to the academic community is required.  Responsibilities also include student advising, curriculum development and assessment, maintaining studios, and service on faculty committees.

Job Title: Occupational Therapy Faculty

The Occupational Therapy Doctorate program in the Health Sciences department at Cedar Crest College seeks applicants for three 12-month positions beginning July 2023. Experience in research and supervising doctoral student activities, including capstone projects, is beneficial. Job Title: Mathematics Faculty
Full time

Cedar Crest College is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position in Mathematics to begin August 2023.

Cedar Crest College offers a B.S. degree in mathematics and Pennsylvania teaching certification in secondary mathematics.  This faculty member will teach mathematics courses for majors as well as  a broad range of service courses in mathematics for science, humanities, business, and other undergraduate students. The appointment shall be for 9-months of the academic year, renewable and non-tenure track, and for 24 teaching credit hours annually (generally a 4:4 load), with some evening courses. Job Title: Director of MAAT program/Assistant Professor of Art Therapy

Job Title: Chair of Undergraduate Nursing Programs

Job Title: Doctorate of Nursing Practice - Nurse Anesthesia Program (CRNA)
Part Time Faculty

Cedar Crest College is accepting applications for two part-time Nurse Anesthesia Faculty in the School of Nursing (SON) to assist with the routine operations of our Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) in the Nurse Anesthesia Program. Our growing NAP program boasts excellent clinical sites at the region’s premier healthcare systems. A multimillion-dollar state-of-the-art Nursing Simulation Center provides realistic practice settings such as critical-care patient rooms, a preoperative assessment room, and a functional operating room for student learning.

The selected candidates will help support the program in maintaining compliance with the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia educational programs and guidelines. The faculty members will help provide classroom and online teaching, simulation clinical instruction, student advising and supervision of doctoral scholarly projects for our BSN-DNP NAP students. Other duties include:

  1. Develop and deliver instructional content for the education of nurse anesthesia students, during both the didactic and clinical (simulation) portions of assigned courses; maintain clinical practice. 
  2. Utilize evaluation tools and processes to assign grades to students for didactic course and for evaluation of satisfactory participation and performance on clinical simulation activities 
  3. Evaluate and assess current educational needs of students and participate in the revision of curriculum as needed in conjunction with Program Administrators for your assigned courses 
  4. Provide written formative and summative evaluations of each student’s didactic performance at the end of each semester and forward to the Program Administrators.
  5. Assist with the development of and participate in delivery of didactic material via interactive hybrid coursework for nurse anesthesia students at the CCC SON. 
  6. Maintain an open line of communication with the Program Administrators in matters concerning didactic progression of the anesthesia students. 
  7. Maintain open and timely communication with students.  
  8. Attend all required safety training programs and be able to describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job-related hazards, and national patient safety goals concerning students, faculty, visitors in the SON and the college at large.
  9. Ensure positive relations and interactions in the college.

These part-time roles also involve related duties such as college committee work, School of Nursing duties, and continuing professional development.
