Job Title: Occupational Therapy Faculty
Assistant or Associate Professor

The Occupational Therapy Doctorate program in the Health Sciences department at Cedar Crest College seeks applicants for three 12-month positions beginning July 2023. A team of progressive, clinically-focused, and student-centered educators will welcome the new faculty members. Job Title: Mathematics Faculty

Cedar Crest College is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position in Mathematics to begin August 2023.

Cedar Crest College offers a B.S. degree in mathematics and Pennsylvania teaching certification in secondary mathematics.  This faculty member will teach mathematics courses for majors as well as  a broad range of service courses in mathematics for science, humanities, business, and other undergraduate students. The appointment shall be for 9-months of the academic year, renewable and non-tenure track, and for 24 teaching credit hours annually (generally a 4:4 load), with some evening courses. Job Title: Director of MAAT program/Assistant Professor of Art Therapy

Cedar Crest College invites applications for a full-time Director of the Masters in Art Therapy (MAAT) program. The MAAT program began in 2013 and is committed to an arts-based learning process that integrates theories of art therapy and psychology within a studio model of treatment.

Job Title: Forsenic Science Faculty
Full time, Tenure track

The Department of Chemical, Physical, and Forensic Sciences is seeking a tenure-track faculty member beginning in fall 2023.  The candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in chemistry, forensic science with a concentration in forensic chemistry, or other similar discipline.  Suitable candidates that are ABD will be considered.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in the ACS certified chemistry program and the FEPAC-accredited undergraduate and master’s level graduate forensic science programs.   The successful candidate must be qualified to teach instrumental analysis on the undergraduate level, and separations chemistry, analytical spectroscopy, and forensic chemistry on the graduate level.  The faculty member is expected to mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research with dissemination of research expected in peer-reviewed journals.  In addition, consistent with FEPAC-accreditation guidelines, the faculty member must be willing to perform service to the forensic science community such as committee work for professional organizations, manuscript reviewer for professional journals, or consulting.  The successful candidate should have at least 2 of the following:

Job Title: Assistant Program Director
Doctorate of Nursing Practice - Nurse Anesthesia Program (CRNA)

Cedar Crest College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Program Director (APD) in our School of Nursing to assist with the daily operations of our Doctorate of Nursing in Anesthesia program and assure compliance with the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia educational programs and guidelines.  Responsibilities will include teaching in the nurse anesthesia program, assisting with program and curriculum development, and student advising. The Assistant Program Director supports the Director of the Nurse Anesthesia DNP Program to assure the quality and manage the program's operations. The program operation includes leading curriculum review and revision, overseeing student recruitment, enrollment, matriculation, graduation, advising, and program evaluation. The successful applicant will also manage the recruitment and registration process in coordination with the program director, the Associate Director of Enrollment and the School of Adult and Graduate Education (SAGE) office.

The APD also supports the Program Director in overseeing and coordinating accreditation activities by coordinating an ongoing review process to assess program outcomes and activities. The APD assists in developing, supervising, and coordinating course curriculum and other NAP faculty workload as well as managing student performance and retention processes, developing and implementing a tactical plan in coordination with other college personnel, and assuming teaching load, along with participating in program development and other College services.

The selected candidates will help support the program in maintaining compliance with the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia educational programs and guidelines. The faculty members will help provide classroom and online teaching, simulation clinical instruction, student advising and supervision of doctoral scholarly projects for our BSN-DNP NAP students. Other duties include:

  1. Develop and deliver instructional content for the education of nurse anesthesia students, during both the didactic and clinical (simulation) portions of assigned courses; maintain clinical practice. 
  2. Utilize evaluation tools and processes to assign grades to students for didactic course and for evaluation of satisfactory participation and performance on clinical simulation activities 
  3. Evaluate and assess current educational needs of students and participate in the revision of curriculum as needed in conjunction with Program Administrators for your assigned courses 
  4. Provide written formative and summative evaluations of each student’s didactic performance at the end of each semester and forward to the Program Administrators.
  5. Assist with the development of and participate in delivery of didactic material via interactive hybrid coursework for nurse anesthesia students at the CCC SON. 
  6. Maintain an open line of communication with the Program Administrators in matters concerning didactic progression of the anesthesia students.

  8. Attend all required safety training programs and be able to describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job-related hazards, and national patient safety goals concerning students, faculty, visitors in the SON and the college at large.

The Director of Undergraduate Nursing Programs functions as a resource for faculty and students in the undergraduate nursing program. The Director is a 12-month faculty appointment and serves as a part of the nursing administrative team, oversees all aspects of the academic experience of the undergraduate nursing program and advises the Dean of the School of Nursing on matters pertinent to the undergraduate nursing program.   7. Serves as advisor and liaison for faculty in addressing School of Nursing policies, issues and concerns related to the undergraduate nursing program.

Job Title: Professional Tutor – Chemistry
Part Time

Cedar Crest College is seeking a part-time tutor for chemistry. Reporting to the Director of Academic Services and Student Success and operating in the Student Success Center, the Professional Tutor for chemistry provides individual and group tutoring services for students enrolled in courses or programs requiring competency in chemistry. The Coordinator provides guidance and support for other assistants and student employees in the program and assists the OTD Program Director with compiling statistical data and coordinating data and documentation for accreditation requirements and visits. This is a full-time, 12-month position.
