Cedar Crest College, founded in 1867, is an independent, liberal-arts college that emphasizes cross-disciplinary cooperation and excellence in teaching, research, and practice. Job Title: Forsenic Science Faculty
Full time, Tenure track

The Department of Chemical, Physical, and Forensic Sciences is seeking a tenure-track faculty member beginning in fall 2023.  The candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in chemistry, forensic science with a concentration in forensic chemistry, or other similar discipline.  Suitable candidates that are ABD will be considered.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in the ACS certified chemistry program and the FEPAC-accredited undergraduate and master’s level graduate forensic science programs.   The successful candidate must be qualified to teach instrumental analysis on the undergraduate level, and separations chemistry, analytical spectroscopy, and forensic chemistry on the graduate level.  The faculty member is expected to mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research with dissemination of research expected in peer-reviewed journals.  In addition, consistent with FEPAC-accreditation guidelines, the faculty member must be willing to perform service to the forensic science community such as committee work for professional organizations, manuscript reviewer for professional journals, or consulting.  The successful candidate should have at least 2 of the following:

  1. Forensic science practitioner experience,
  2. Professionally certified by a forensic science certifying body accredited by the Forensic Specialties Accreditation Board,

Job Title: Assistant Program Director
Doctorate of Nursing Practice - Nurse Anesthesia Program (CRNA)

Cedar Crest College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Program Director (APD) in our School of Nursing to assist with the daily operations of our Doctorate of Nursing in Anesthesia program and assure compliance with the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia educational programs and guidelines.  Responsibilities will include teaching in the nurse anesthesia program, assisting with program and curriculum development, and student advising. The position also involves related duties such as college committee work, School of Nursing and departmental duties, and continuing professional development.

The Assistant Program Director supports the Director of the Nurse Anesthesia DNP Program to assure the quality and manage the program's operations. The program operation includes leading curriculum review and revision, overseeing student recruitment, enrollment, matriculation, graduation, advising, and program evaluation. The successful applicant will also manage the recruitment and registration process in coordination with the program director, the Associate Director of Enrollment and the School of Adult and Graduate Education (SAGE) office.

The APD also supports the Program Director in overseeing and coordinating accreditation activities by coordinating an ongoing review process to assess program outcomes and activities. The APD assists in developing, supervising, and coordinating course curriculum and other NAP faculty workload as well as managing student performance and retention processes, developing and implementing a tactical plan in coordination with other college personnel, and assuming teaching load, along with participating in program development and other College services. 

Our three-year program includes cohorts of 25 students and boasts excellent clinical sites at the region’s premier healthcare systems. Job Title: Doctorate of Nursing Practice - Nurse Anesthesia Program (CRNA)
Part Time Faculty

Cedar Crest College is accepting applications for two part-time Nurse Anesthesia Faculty in the School of Nursing (SON) to assist with the routine operations of our Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) in the Nurse Anesthesia Program. The selected candidates will help support the program in maintaining compliance with the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia educational programs and guidelines. The faculty members will help provide classroom and online teaching, simulation clinical instruction, student advising and supervision of doctoral scholarly projects for our BSN-DNP NAP students. Other duties include:

  1. Develop and deliver instructional content for the education of nurse anesthesia students, during both the didactic and clinical (simulation) portions of assigned courses; maintain clinical practice. 
  2. Utilize evaluation tools and processes to assign grades to students for didactic course and for evaluation of satisfactory participation and performance on clinical simulation activities 
  3. Evaluate and assess current educational needs of students and participate in the revision of curriculum as needed in conjunction with Program Administrators for your assigned courses

  5. Assist with the development of and participate in delivery of didactic material via interactive hybrid coursework for nurse anesthesia students at the CCC SON. 
  6. Maintain an open line of communication with the Program Administrators in matters concerning didactic progression of the anesthesia students.

  8. Attend all required safety training programs and be able to describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job-related hazards, and national patient safety goals concerning students, faculty, visitors in the SON and the college at large.

Job Title: Professional Tutor – Chemistry and Math

Cedar Crest College is seeking a full-time tutor for chemistry and math. Reporting to the Director of Academic Services and Student Success and operating in the Student Success Center, the Professional Tutor for chemistry and mathematics provides individual and group tutoring services for students enrolled in courses or programs requiring competency in math or chemistry. The Professional Tutor also provides tutoring for students preparing for standardized tests such as the TEAS or PAPA exams. The Professional Tutor assists students in accessing other academic resources, and collaborates with faculty and staff to provide other chemistry and math supports such as workshops and exam preparation sessions. This position also works with Cedar Crest’s peer tutoring program, including creating training materials, assisting in hiring, approval of work hours, and maintaining the peer tutor schedule. Full Time

Cedar Crest College seeks an Administrative Assistant for the Arts and Humanities to support the daily operations of the academic departments of Art; Communication; History, Literature & Languages; and Performing Arts. Cedar Crest is a Division III, four-year independent liberal arts college for women with 11 Varsity sports, including the recent addition of wrestling, scheduled to begin in Fall 2022. Cedar Crest is a member of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and the Atlantic East Conference. Coming in second this year in our athletic conference for the President’s Cup, the College has been the recipient of the Institutional Academic Award from the CSAC conference for 2018-19 and 2020-21.  Seventy-two percent of our student athletes receive all-academic awards, with an overall grade point average of 3.392.  The athletics department has received 12 coach of the year, 6 player of the year, 7 rookie of the year, 4 championship, and 7 runner up awards since 2015.  Our growth in student athletes has doubled over the same period of time and comprise approximately 30% of each new class.  Nine teams have set new school win records.
