THE ASSOCIATES MISSION
Founded in 1964, the Associates of Cedar Crest College are business, professional and civic leaders from the greater Lehigh Valley area who have demonstrated a continuing interest in the pursuit of excellence in the liberal arts education of women. The Associates joined the College in an effort to develop close ties with business and community leaders and to directly participate in the development of higher education.
ASSOCIATES AWARD CEREMONY
Each year since 1983, the Associates of Cedar Crest College have hosted an annual awards ceremony. This distinguished award recognizes an individual or individuals who have made significant contributions to Cedar Crest College; graduates of the College who have achieved success in their chosen fields; or community leaders whose careers reflect the College's mission of promoting women's leadership. In recent years, the Associates have begun to recognize corporations which have made an impacted in the greater Lehigh Valley and promoted the mission of the College through their work in the community.
More than $210,000 for Cedar Crest College scholarships was raised in just that past 3 years through this event. These funds help the College ensure opportunities for local students from all educational, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
In addition to the scholarship, the Associates have worked to help improve the lives and situations of current Cedar Crest College students. The Associates participated in a campus wide food drive to help avoid food insecurity for students remaining on campus during school breaks. They also supported a professional clothing drive in the community which provided appropriate attire for students to wear for job interviews. And, the Associates are continuing to partner with the Career Planning office to offer support as mentors and resources for successful employment searches.

Since 1981, the Associates have awarded student scholarships in order
to play a more substantial role in educating future leaders. With your help,
the Associates will continue to grow and provide financial assistance to deserving
students.
