The first time you walk in Cressman Library, you will discover what may become one of your favorite places on campus for studying—plus one of the most sweeping views of Allentown's breathtaking park system.
Rising in three levels from the Cedar Crest hillside, the Cressman Library reflects the College's commitment to liberal arts education and online information technologies. The open-stack structure is an integral unit of the Cedar Crest library system with collections of 121,031 print volumes and over 263,526 e-books; as well as 23,428 current serials titles, and 4,706 physical media and 97,766 streaming audiovisual materials.
The WorldCat Discovery online catalog provides computer-supported identification of the holdings of the Cedar Crest library. The library system also provides an interface to electronic networks, including access to the internet and information databases. Affiliations with the LVAIC consortium and daily document delivery services link the resources of more than two million volumes for student and faculty study and research. The Library uses network affiliation with LYRASIS, OCLC, and the internet to extend its access to collections in libraries in the Lehigh Valley, the United States, and worldwide.
