Congratulations to Dinaw Mengestu, 2012 MacArthur “Genius”!

Dinaw MengestuHis recognized work, The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears (2008), richly depicts the stories of immigrants escaping the violence of their African homelands and remaking their lives in urban America. Dinaw is also the author of How to Read the Air (2010).

We expect Dinaw to begin teaching in the Pan-European MFA program during the Barcelona residency, next summer.
