Application Requirements

Admissions Requirements

In order to be considered for admission, a candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program
  • Minimum of a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) in a BSN program
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure in Pennsylvania.
  • Completion of undergraduate statistics, research and health assessment courses with a grade of C or better
  • No clinical experience required. One year preferred.

Application Process

To complete the admissions process, a candidate must submit the following:

  • A completed online application
  • Official transcript(s) from all colleges/universities previously attended (if previous coursework was completed outside of the United States, students should have their academic degree validated as equivalent to a degree in the United States through a non-profit agency, such as World Education Services www.wes.org.) 
  • Two professional recommendations, preferably from nurses with graduate degree including current employer, nursing professor or other nursing professional Recommendation Form  
  • Current resume
  • A statement explaining your goals and why you are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in nursing
  • For international applicants official scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
  • Completion of an interview with the Director
