An online certificate program, with a 1-2 day on-campus immersion
At Cedar Crest College, we see your commitment to advancing your nursing degree to meet a critical and growing need in healthcare. Incorporating Cedar Crest’s longstanding excellence in both Forensic Science and Nursing, the Graduate Certificate in Forensic Nursing prepares RNs to improve healthcare outcomes for victims of crime, violence, abuse, and disaster while reducing the risk of additional trauma through proper examination, evidence collection, and preservation.
Designed for current practicing nurses, this certificate prepares you with concentrated skills that can be applied in a range of clinical settings, further strengthening your ability to advocate effectively for patients and collaborate with legal and investigative professionals.
When earning the graduate certificate, a portion of required clinical hours may be applied toward the Cedar Crest College MSN degree, where applicable.
The program is delivered primarily online in an asynchronous format, with a mandatory 1-2 day on-campus immersion experience. Courses follow a 7-week accelerated format, allowing students to complete the graduate certificate in as little as 9 months. This certificate can be completed in fall, spring, and summer. Both the undergraduate and graduate level students will take courses together with alternative assignments depending on their academic level.
