Capstone Gallery

The Capstone Gallery, located in Alumnae Hall Center for the Arts, was established for student exhibitions. Students have the opportunity to propose and create exhibitions within this space—complete with opening receptions—under the guidance of the art department faculty. It is curated by art department faculty.

In addition to the student-organized shows, there are regularly scheduled shows relating to the curriculum of the art department throughout the year. These shows include:

  • Displayed coursework
  • Specific showings of senior studio art and integrated art majors at mid-semester
  • An exhibition of work by art therapy majors
  • Alumnae Gallery featuring student work and community partner exhibitions

The Capstone Gallery also houses the art department’s collection of handmade books and prints from the Artist in Residence program.
