Biography
Dr. Dianne Babbitt is the Chairperson of the Health Sciences Department and the Graduate Program Director for Integrative Exercise Science. Her research interests are in cardiovascular exercise physiology, specifically the effect of exercise training on cardiovascular disease risk factors. Dr. Babbitt’s research in the Exercise Physiology Laboratory at Cedar Crest has included accurate assessment of cardiovascular physiological function with cycle ergometry. She and her students have presented these research findings at the American College of Sports Medicine Regional and National Meetings. Dr. Babbitt is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist. She teaches and advises undergraduate students in the Health Sciences and graduate students in Exercise Science. As a teacher, it is her desire to empower students to achieve their highest levels of personal and professional development.
