My professional journey began in geochemistry research, where I used specialized microscopes and analytical instruments to study rocks from deep within the Earth and investigate how continents split apart. Despite pursuing graduate study in this field, I ultimately realized that this path wasn’t going to align with the impact that I hoped to make. After taking a some big steps back to reflect on my strengths, interests, and values, I discovered that higher education offered me the opportunity to wholly commit to my passion for helping others. Today, as the Assistant Director for Internships & Experiential Learning at Cedar Crest College, I work to expand access to internships and experiential learning opportunities and help students connect these experiences to meaningful and fulfilling careers.
