Dr. Murray has twenty years of clinical experience in brain injury rehabilitation. She is a licensed social worker in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; she is also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. Dr. Murray is a mixed-methods and qualitative researcher with publications such as the feasibility and effectiveness of Virtual Reality Mindfulness Modules in persons with traumatic brain injury (TBI), the impact of COVID-19 on social work students, and compassion fatigue in brain injury professionals. Dr. Murray has presented internationally on topics such as the prevalence of TBI in marginalized and underserved populations, compassion fatigue, the advantages of hiring individuals with disabilities, and federal and state benefits/entitlements for persons with disabilities.
